I took the Masters Course in History from Department of History, University of North Bengal (2009). Currently I am pursuing Ph.D research from the same university. In 2009 I cleared National Eligibility Test (NET-JRF) and was a recipient of the UGC Junior Research Fellowship. My areas of interest in research are Numismatics (Ancient/Medieval), Epigraphy and Economic history of ancient and early medieval India and Medieval North East Indian history.
I teach PG Course 18 (Hist/PG/4.4.A): Material Culture, Progress and the Intellectual Milieu in Early India. I also teach the UG Course 15 (Hist/UG/6.1.1): The Chinese Civilisation and the Extra Departmental UG Course 4.23: An Environmental History of India (E.D).
